Intake
What do I need to send to start?
Whatever you have: a PDF markup, a hand sketch, a prior DWG, or just site photos and rough dimensions. For as-builts, nothing — we field-measure. We'll tell you exactly what's missing at the scoping call before any fee is set.
Standards
Imperial or metric, and which CAD standard?
Imperial dimensioning by default, metric on request. Layers follow the U.S. National CAD Standard / AIA conventions, and we'll match your firm's title block, line weights, and plot style so the set drops into your workflow.
Can you draft from a PDF or hand sketch?
Sources
Routinely. We rebuild scanned or flattened PDFs into clean, editable CAD geometry — not a traced image. Hand sketches get redrawn to scale with proper dimensioning and callouts.
Revisions
What if the plan checker comes back with corrections?
Comment responses on a permit set are expected — your package includes two full revision rounds covering standard plan-check corrections. If a correction requires a genuine scope change, we quote that separately before touching it.
Engineering
Do you stamp or do the calcs?
We are a drafting studio — we produce the drawings. Structural calcs and the professional stamp come from your licensed engineer; we coordinate our detail sheets directly to their calc package so everything lines up.
Ownership
Who owns the files?
You do, on delivery. You get the native .DWG plus plotted PDFs — no proprietary formats, no locked files. Edit, reissue, and archive them however your firm needs to.

Intake & redline review
We read your markups, prior drawings, and site photos, then flag gaps on a short scoping call. For existing structures, we book a field-measure visit and capture measurements on site.

Base model & coordination
Geometry is rebuilt clean in CAD — plans, elevations, sections — layered to standard and coordinated against the engineer's calcs where structure is involved.

Detailing & callouts
Connection details, schedules, dimensions, and sheet references go in. Title block, sheet index, and notes are set up to match your firm's conventions.

QA & plot-ready delivery
Every sheet is checked against a drafting QA list, then you receive native .DWG and plotted PDFs. Two revision rounds follow your redlines before the set is final.
